Please Spread the invitation!

Dear Friends,

MRIYR would like to invite our all supporters on 14th September to
plan our actions for the next year. We’ll meet at 7pm at Schaubühne
Cafeteria and then we’ll go to the meeting room. If you come late ask at
the Cafeteria. (*Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. Kurfürstendamm 153, 10709
Berlin)

In 2017 we want to organize a demonstration/Carnival & The International
Refugees and Migrants Conference (Which took place last february in
Hamburg). Both with the agenda to improve the living situation of
refugees and migrants.

On Wednesday 14th September we want to plan
1) the strategy to get our demands and
2) to plan/structure our actions for 2017

Living situation in Refugee Camps is getting worse. Private service
provider companies don’t care about anything and they deal the people in
many discriminative ways. In many of the Heims refugees don’t receive
money for the food because Heim service provides them food and companies
get paid for it. Many refugees suffer this situation and they are unable
to cook / eat what they want. Why people have to live in the Heims in
such a poor situation?
Why Refugee Camps don’t allow the media inside ? Which restrictions they
impose on Refugee who live in the Camps? Why they don’t give the
internet access to refugees and help them to get connected with the
world. Many of the Refugees just get stuck in the Heims because they
can’t find language Schools. This is also responsibility of private
service provider companies to take care of every individual and help
them to get engaged in language school, Job, internships or cultural
activities etc. Refugees should become part of the society!
We demand everybody to take necessary actions on it. We as MRIYR will
support the Refugees for their basic Right. They should have a place
where they can ‘feel home’.

Looking forward to see you all!

Best Regards,

Samee

Pressekonferenz Refugee Club Impulse https://www.oplatz.net/pressekonferenz-refugee-club-impulse/ https://www.oplatz.net/pressekonferenz-refugee-club-impulse/#respond Sun, 24 Apr 2016 13:16:55 +0000 https://www.oplatz.net/?p=10546

Unsere Grundlage ist das gemeinsam erarbeitete Manifest: Nobody gives us a Voice – we take it!

My Right is Your Right reingebracht worden.

Global action day against racism

Refugee Club Impulse (RCI) and My Right is Your Right invite you to the
CARNIVAL AL-LAJIÌN_AL-LAJIÀAT:

Join the Demonstration for the Global Action Day Against Racism on the 20th of March – 12 Noon – Platz der Luftbrücke!

Carnival has a longstanding tradition of resistance. It was once a place where societal structures were revealed and confronted. Carnival creates a culture of laughing and creative resistance that confronts the ruling system. In face of raising numbers of racist attacks, political successes of right-wing movements and continuous tightening of discriminating asylum policies, resistance is extremely important. Racism made it into the centre of society.

Let’s take back the streets to show that we are here to fight for a real change in our society! The right to stay is freedom of movement is a human right!
With performances, dances, masques, costumes, flash-mobs, music, spoken word, banners and chants we want to hold up the mirror to the current political state of affairs and set a sign of solidarity against it. This will be a celebration of our various struggles, demands and ideas! Join us!

The Carnival was brought to life by the self-organized theatre collective Refugee Club Impulse (RCI). My right is Your right! joins RCI’s call for the Carnival al-lajiìn_al-lajiàat. My right is your right is an alliance of refugees, creative artists, activists, lawyers, freedom fighters, clubs, unionists, neighborhood initiatives, and many other groups and individuals who started working together in November 2014. Moreover, well-known Berlin theatres are intensively participating in

the preparation of the Carnival. We take the protests of Oranienplatz and Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule in Kreuzberg, that began in 2012, as starting point. We are calling all anti-racist forces, all those involved in the daily struggles against the discriminatory asylum policies and all those who want to prevent racism from becoming mainstream, to join us.

To succeed in making this year’s Day Against Racism a large, colourful, loud and widely visible celebration by carrying our demands from the places of our daily struggles into the middle of society, we need the collective power of the anti-racist and refugee movement.

Come to the Carnival of Refugees on the 20th of March

Refugee Club Impulse (RCI) und My Right is Your Right laden euch ein zum KARNEVAL DER GEFLÜCHTETEN

Seid dabei!

Ins Leben gerufen wurde der Carnival vom selbst- organisierten Theaterkollektiv Refugee Club Impulse (RCI). My Right Is Your Right! schließt sich dem Aufruf des RCI zum Carnival Al-Lajiìn_Al-Lajiàat an.

Demonstration of My Right is Your Right!
on the Global Day of Action against Racism
Sunday, 20th March 2016
2 PM | Platz der Luftbrücke | Berlin
#20M #MRIYR

On the occasion of the Global Day Against Racism, the self-organized Refugee Club Impulse (RCI) invites you to the Carnival Al-Lajiìn_Al-Lajiàat, the Carnival of the Refugees, on 20th March 2016 in Berlin. The Carnival wants to raise voices against the isolation of refugees and make clear political demands against the tightening of asylum laws and the discrimination of refugees. On this day, refugees will demonstrate in the streets of Berlin and use art as a tool to highlight their issues and demands.

My Right Is Your Right! joins RCI’s call for the Carnival Al-Lajiìn_Al-Lajiàat and supports the refugees’ struggles for their rights. We are an alliance of creative artists, activists, lawyers, refugees, freedom fighters, clubs, unionists, neighbourhood initiatives and many other groups and individuals, who started working together in November 2014. The protests of Oranienplatz and Ohlauer School in Kreuzberg were our starting points.
Over the last year, governments have tightened asylum laws, right wing mobilizations have gained supporters and racist attacks have increased in Germany and Europe generally. Protests against racism, for the right to move, the right to stay, and better living conditions for all are getting louder while remaining ignored by large parts of our society. The Carnival Al-Lajiìn_Al-Lajiàat wants to take the streets once more and bring our diverse struggles and demands into the public in an artistic way:
No to the tightening of asylum laws! Stop building fences and walls! Stop isolating and dividing people!

The EU is at war against refugees and migrants. Constantly, new laws are passed to scare people from coming. But the destruction Germany and the EU causes in many places of the world in a continuation of (neo)colonial politics, military interventions and economic exploitation, are forcing people to flee. The EU border agency Frontex is just one example: The thousands of deaths at the borders and seas are a proof of fatal politics. Meanwhile, terms like “Obergrenzen”, “Transitzonen” and “sichere Herkunftsstaaten” legitimize racist discourses to divide people into wanted and unwanted human beings, into “real” and “fake” refugees. We say: No to the new asylum laws! No to isolation! No to racism and hatred!

For the right to stay! For the right to choose where and how to live!
The right to asylum is a basic human right and should not be a privilege you apply for. The right to stay (Bleiberecht) is a first step, but everyone should have the right to live in dignity. Instead of inhuman mass accommodations, we want the right for all to have a living space in humane conditions. The inhumane conditions at the Berliner LaGeSo (Landesamt für Gesundheit und Soziales) and at the growing mass accommodations (Notunterkünfte) all over Germany are a wanted escalation by the Berlin senate and other federal administrations to dehumanize, scare and oppress people. We don’t accept these obvious violations of
human rights. We say: No to deportations! All people have the right to stay wherever they want and choose how they want to live!

The Carnival Al-Lajiìn_Al-Lajiàat wants to spread the unheard voices and knowledge. Let us break the isolation and come together. You say, we already have a “welcoming culture” in Germany? We say, we need solidarity, not charity! We want all rights for all people!

Einladung zur Vorbereitung: My Right Is Your Right! – Carnival Al-Lajiìn (März 2016)

13th January | 18:30h | Brinkmannzimmer, Maxim-Gorki-Theater

Carnival Al-Lajiìn
Demonstration von My Right is Your Right!
am Globalen Tag gegen Rassismus
Sonntag, 20. März 2016
14 Uhr | Platz der Luftbrücke | Berlin
#20M #MRIYR

Mittwoch, 13. Januar | 18:30h | Brinkmannzimmer, Maxim-Gorki-Theater, Am Festungsgraben 2, 10117 Berlin

International day against Racism 20th March 2016

Dear All,

‘’My Right is Your Right‘‘ is organizing a demonstration on Demonstration on ‘’International day against Racism’’. First demonstration we organized on 21st March 2015 where many peoples from different organizations/ Initiatives joined the demonstration. This year we will do the demonstration on 20th March 2016 (Because of Sunday).

All Theaters in Campaign decided to support the project ‘’Carnival Al-Ladji’in’’ which is started by self-organized Refugee Club Impulse-RCI. Basic idea of Carnival is to break the isolation in Refugee Homes and give the awareness of their rights. We want to give a strong sign with all our demands about the current situation of refugees and against the tightening of the asylum laws in Germany. We will use Art as a tool to fight against Racism and bring our problems in streets. On 20th March Refugees will also join the demonstration together with citizens.

To organize this demonstration we will meet on 9th December at 18:30Hrs in Podewil (Kloster Straße 68). Please join us to share your great ideas for demonstration. We will make different working groups so we could work as a good team and have good coordination for everything. Please spread this message around and invite, so we could reach to maximum peoples who are refugees, who work with Refugees / for Refugees.

#Solidarity with Refugees

My right is your right – campaign goes on in front of Lageso

Kundgebung // Theatre // Concerts // Performances // Statements

October 7th | 3 PM |  ‪#‎LaGeSo‬ – Landesamt für Gesundheit und Soziales, Turmstraße 21, 10559 Berlin-Moabit

The aim is to organize a gathering in front of the LAGESO as a central place, where Refugees first arrive in Berlin, register and thereby start their existence as Refugees.

For every simple thing Refugees have to visit the LAGESO. So since weeks the Reality in front of the LAGESO is an “emergency situation”. Hundreds of people are going every day to this place. There are people who stay there for more than 3 weeks and waiting for further process.

We want to make the movement My right is your right visible not only to confront the state official’s at LAGESO and raise publicity with our existence, critique and requests – but also give a sign to the newcomers: They have rights, we are not in line with recent political decisions cutting the right to ask for asylum, with the unacceptable conditions of overloaded refugee housing, with new border controls and fences – short: with what they try to sell as a “solution” of the refugee crisis.

We appreciate that Government stopped Dublin for Syrian Refugees but control on borders (inside EU) is a still question mark. This is human discrimination.

With the action we also address the helpers, who are now working already since weeks to support the people. Everybody is angry about the system. Our goal is to bring the anger of each side together and be more focused in a direction and so the structure of the fight can get clearer. My Right is Your Right is expecting the Theaters now to come and position them.

We would especially invite people working for various associations involved with counseling, assistance, legal support e.g. of refugees in Berlin and trying to make things move forward in better way. This is an open invitation for all those who want to say something on stage (short statements) at organizational / individual level.

We also want to give Refugees who are living in tents and surviving with the help by citizens the opportunity to speak on stage. Any language is acceptable; we have translators for Arabic, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. (We are still looking for someone for Farsi)

Private service provider companies are being well paid from LAGESO but they are treating Refugees in worst way. In the Refuguee-Heims there is no internet, no guests are allowed after evening, no press is allowed. There are no playing areas for children, people only have very small rooms they have to share with others and which are often overcrowded. There is most of the time only one kitchen and bathroom for 10-20 Families, which are not in a very good condition and dirty. All of these things discriminate in many ways the people who live there. LAGESO should take notice of it and fight against it.

After the statements there will be a concert. We have confirmation from Cigir, Kaveh, ADS and Refugee Club.

We want to point our fingers to politics and politicians that do not accept their responsibilities and involvement into the causes of forced migration – helping is not a question of good will – it should not be question at all! We want to give people who are directly concerned by the inhuman consequences of those politics and fences – people who arrive in Berlin as refugees today – space to raise their voices and join the discussion!

Join us in making a clear statement that day!

The campaign My Right Is Your Right! invites you

on Saturday, 21.03.2015 at 1:00 pm to a large demonstration at Spreewaldplatz in Berlin

in coordination with the International Day against Racism.

For more than two years now refugees and supporters in Berlin have been publicly and visibly fighting against the institutional racism in Germany and Europe, to which so many people are permanently subject in their daily lives. The acute and concrete demands of the refugees are the complete abolition of the Residenzpflicht,a stop to placing people in the Lagers as well as all deportations, and a right to remain, education, working possibilities and to live where one wishes – thus an end to the politically supported isolation of refugees. The campaign as well as the demonstration are directed against these racist practices and will bring the long-term demands of the refugees further into the public realm.

My Right Is Your Right! is a campaign comprised of refugees, creative artists, activists, lawyers, church officials, unionists, clubs and neighborhood initiatives that have now joined together to form a network.  What connects us all is the wish for a stronger political intervention in Berliner refugee policies. We are opening the doors of theaters and other public places for the request for more just policies with regards to refugees. Our demands are not new, rather they are the ones refugees in Germany have already been demanding for decades. For us, this is neither about charity or humanitarian aid. We are not only demanding changes from policy makers, but we want to fight daily racism and exclusion. Our goal is to establish a long-term infrastructure that deals with and works against forms of daily and structural racism. Hence the campaign offers an exchange of a variety of projects and offers: work, education, sleeping places, language courses and donations as well as performances and actions.

The starting points of our campaign are the self-organized protests of refugees in the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule (GHS) and from Oranienplatz. Last Friday the residents of the GHS were informed of threats of a renewed eviction that would take place on March, 19th, 2015 – all of this despite an agreement with the district offices in July of 2014. This agreement promised that one part of the school would be converted into the self-organized International Refugee Center and that the other side would continue to remain living-spaces for the current residents.

We are rising up for the right to equal rights for all people. On that note: Your Right Is My Right! My Right Is Your Right!

Pressemitteilung 24.02.2015

In diesem Sinne: Your Right is My Right! My Right is Your Right!
